RST Voltage One/Two Piece Review
Say hello to RST's budget race suit. The RST Voltage suit comes in at a bargain price of £299.99 RRP and for a full race suit this is pretty damn cheap if I do say so myself.
Do not let the price deceive you though, the RST Voltage suit is packed with lovely features you will often find on anything made by RST and there is always that feel of quality when you first zip the suit up.

The RST Voltage is made from premium grade 1.2-1.3mm full grained, drum dyed cowhide. As with the Fusion suit, this is down the lower end of the thickness scale, but for the money you're paying it comes as no surprise. Still if you're ever thrown down the road you will still go a long way before there's even a hint of it being worn through.
Armour comes in the form of Knox Flexiform. As always, RST leathers come with CE approved armour as standard and the Voltage is no exception. The Flexiform attribute simply gives you that bit of movement in the joints you so often need when out on a ride. No body wants to feel like action man trying to move around.
Texland Airgaurd makes another appearance to the RST range in the Voltage to give that extra bit of manoeuvrability around the joints as well as keep out that unwanted wind chill we so often try and dodge.
The one piece suit comes with an aerodynamic and protective race hump. Designed to protect the most important part of the spine (the cervical) from any nasty bumps and also gives you that extra hundredth of a second you so desperately want by giving greater aerodynamics.....*rolls eyes*
For hot and sticky days some panels have been perforated to allow the suit to breath, but we all know leather rarely is able to cool us on a hot day. We don't care though do we? Naaahh!

Main seams have been twin and triple stitched to ensure maximum bondage (no jokes please) in the event of a crash. Also Oxley bonded nylon thread has been used to further improve anti-burst strength.
The two piece suit is equipped with a 360 degree zip around the waist to ensure the jacket never rides up in the event of an accident. However the seam will usually only last one session down the road, after which you would need to get it replaced. Believe me I know.
Stacking up all of the above is hard to see how the RRP of this suit is justified when so many quality features can be found. If you're looking for a low priced, high quality race suit, the RST Voltage is an excellent choice.
