RST Fusion One/Two Piece Leathers Review
There's only one thing that RST Fusion leathers stand for, and that's excellent value for money. You'll struggle to find motorbike leathers of this quality at such a low price.
Don't think though that at this low price they are cutting back. RST have kitted out this two piece suit with a tonne of features you wouldn't expect from something so cheap.

Let's start then with the most important aspect. These RST leathers are made from full grained 1.1-1.2mm cowhide. This thickness is at the lower end of the scale, but anything between 1.1mm and 1.4mm is premium grade so you can expect this suit to rank with the top for abrasion resistance.
All armour in the Fusion suit is CE approved and manufactured by Knox. So not only does it meets the national standard of protection, you also have the added bonus of it being made by a recognised armour designer. The armour is found in the shoulders, elbows and knees. It also comes with a feature known as 'Contour Plus', meaning the armour is designed in such a way that it fits as comfortably as possible without any points digging in.
On areas that need to flex RST have fitted a fabric known as 'Texland Airgaurd' that has mild abrasion resistance and wind protection but is also breathable to allow cooling. Another cooling aspect is the perforated panels on the back and front for hot weather comfort. Believe me, this comes in handy.
Main seam stitching is triple stitched using Oxley 40's grade bonded nylon thread for maximum strength against bursting. This way you can be certain the seams stay intact after that huge bikers cafe dinner you just had.

For the two piece Fusion leahters, RST have fitted a 360 degree zip around the waist to keep them connected in the event of an off you didn't plan for. I have had the chance to test this on track and believe me they do stay connected. I wouldn't go testing it yourself though, it's much more fun staying on the bike.
For the chillier days the Fusion suit is fitted with a removable 100g quilted waistcoat which does work quite well. The only issue is if you have it in the jacket, it does cover up the pockets which can be a pain, but it takes all of 5 seconds to unzip it to reach them. Can you tell I'm struggling to find faults?
All in all the RST Fusion leathers offer amazing value for money in times when value for money is greatly needed. If offered the chance to buy a set, I think I'd struggle to say no. And that's why I didn't say no.
