One Piece Leathers Reviews

Why One Piece Leathers?

If there's one thing that makes you look and feel like a proper sports bike rider, it's one piece leathers. This isn't the only reason why they're worth getting though. Simply by design one piece leathers are easily the safest form of motorcycle protective gear on the market today.

The BEST protection

They are designed for the track first and foremost, meaning that they'll have all the necessary armour in all the right places which will be to CE approved standards. Also, the fact that the majority of a suit is made from one continuous piece of leather there is very little chance of the suit bursting open, especially with the way most one piece leathers are double and triple stitched all over.

Useless trivia alert! One piece leathers were first adopted by the Cafe Racers of the UK. You really do learn something new every day.

Things to look out for:

  • Firstly and most obviously, make sure they're leather. Some suits claim they are made from leather and technically they aren't lying, but they mix the leather with other less abrasive materials as well.
  • The armour on one piece leathers should all be CE approved. It's very hard to find motorcycle leathers in shops now that don't have CE approved armour, but it's not unheard of.
  • Check to make sure the armour is in all the right places. Shoulders, elbows and knees are the most common areas of protection, but any further protection in the hip and back areas is beneficial.
  • MAKE SURE THEY FIT. This is something too many people overlook when on the hunt for new one piece leathers, but to put it into perspective, a cheap well fitting suit is going to protect you more than an expensive incorrect fitting one.

Dont worry though - All the leathers featured on this site meet the above standards and in a lot cases surpass them. To get an idea of what's what, have a look at some of the reviews below.
