Best One Piece Leathers of 2011

Here's our pick of the best one piece leathers on sale this biking season. We've got some new entries this year but we've also thrown in a couple of old favourites that are still going strong today, and because they've been out a while they are at a price point that is a lot more affordable for a lot of people. So if you're after new one piece leathers, take a look at our pick of the best and we're sure you'll find something that fits your needs and wants.

RST Tractech

RST Tractech

First up we've got RST's new one piece leather suit for 2011, the Tractech. I thought this deserves the first mention because in my opinion it offers the best blend of high quality construction and affordability of any suit on the market today. Coming in at around £379 the Tractech suit has a very reasonable price point for brand name leathers, and when you start to look at the quality you get for your money the price looks even better. You get a lot of the protection you find in the top of the line Pro Series suits but you also have some comfort features in there as well to keep road riders interested. As one piece leathers go, you're looking at one of the best on the market today in terms of value for money. For more info on the RST Tractech suit you can read our review. Spada Predator

Spada Predator

Spada simply had to get a mention in our best one piece leathers list, simply for the fact that they're British, but also because their long standing belief that top quality motorcycle clothing should be available to all riders is as strong today as it was when they first go going. The Predator then is Spada's top of the range leather suit and as such comes with very high grade 1.3mm-1.4mm full grain cowhide, reinforced impact areas, and all round CE approved armour along with a host of nifty comfort features to make road riding that much easier. At a sniff under £430 it is another of the more affordable suits on the market that still offer superb quality construction. For a more in depth look at the suit, see our review. The latest prices can be found here.

RST Pro Series

RST Pro Series

The RST Pro Series is another suit that has been around for a while, but this one has seen a few updates in it's lifetime so is still well up to date with anything on sale today. It's RST's top of the range suit and as such boasts a price tag that slowly creeps up the pricing ladder at around £499, but when you see big biking names such as Andrew Pitt, Hudson Kennaugh and Chris Walker donning Pro Series suits that price tag starts to look a lot more reasonable. It has all the necessary features for one piece leathers for the track, but with the attention that has gone into the comfort features it's perfectly happy on the road too. Once again our review can be found by clicking the link, and prices for the Pro Series can be found at this one.

Spyke Blaster

Spyke Blaster

Very much in the same vein as the Pro Series suit, the Spyke Blaster one piece leathers are made for the keen track day rider. Another thing the Blaster suit shares in common with the above is in the names you can see wearing it such as James Ellison, Josh Brookes and Steve Plater among others in high levels of racing. If these guys flying around Britiain's race tracks at the speed they do feel that the Spyke Blaster suit is good enough to keep them safe, there's not a much better endorsement than that and who are we to argue. The above isn't the only reason the Blaster has made it into our best one piece leathers list though. Manufactured by the Italians you can be sure that a lot of time has gone into not just the safety features, but the styling. The Blaster suits are one of (if not the) best looking one piece leathers on the market. At about £599 its certainly not the cheapest, but its a darn site more reasonable than most of the 'exclusive' names on the market. See what more the Spyke Blaster has to offer in our review. To snap up this Italian loveliness you can see prices here.

Rev'it Victory 1

Rev'it Victory

Now we've come to the creme de la creme of suits. New for 2011 the Rev'it Victory suit is simply stacked with top of the range features and technology worthy for riders in the top flight of motorcycle racing, such as Alvaro Bautista and Randy de Puniet to name two. As well as the X-Lite cowhide construction you have a whole host of different materials that go into making the suit both extremely safe and comfortable. However it does have a price tag to match which sits around £799 at the time of writing. Some will argue that you're just paying for a name, but when you look at the spec sheet it's clear to see where a lot of that money is going. For the latest Rev'it Victory prices and more info on this technology rammed suit you can go here.

So this is our pick of the best one piece leathers available to us this biking season. It's a mixture of superb value for money and the highest quality products, but whatever your price range you wont go far wrong with any of the above when looking for your next one piece leathers.
