Arlen Ness LS1-8309 Kangaroo Suit
The Kangaroo suit is the top of the line suit in the Arlen Ness leathers range. It has all the same features as the suit below, but the main construction of the suit it made up of high end kangaroo leather which is a benefit in two ways – it is both very tough so abrasion resistance is high, but it is also much lighter than other forms of leather. The price does reflect this, but for your money you really are getting the crème de la crème of one piece leather suits.

Arlen Ness LS1-8308 Magnesium Suit
As stated above, the Magnesium suit comes with pretty much all the same features in the Kangaroo suit, but rather than the high end leather that it is constructed with, the Magnesium is made up using 1.2mm-1.4mm Daytona cowhide which although doesn’t offer the light feel of kangaroo leather, it does offer superb abrasion resistance that should keep you safe in the event of an off. If you don’t feel you can stretch to the Kangaroo suit with its £100+ premium over the Magnesium, then you are still getting a top quality suit for your money.

Arlen Ness LJ-8304 MAG Jacket
The LJ-8304 MAG is the highest end jacket in the range and comes with some nifty features to justify it. The 8304 comes with the same magnesium shoulder protection for superb impact and abrasion resistance found in the suits above. The leather is the same Daytona cowhide found in the LS1-8308 suit, so once again you can be sure that it will keep your soft supple skin intact if you happen to have a meeting with the road. From an aesthetics perspective I think you’ll agree it looks gorgeous like all of the Arlen Ness leathers range, not only this but I could see it being worn as part of a full race outfit, but also pass as a more casual look with Draggin Jeans or similar.

Arlen Ness LJ-8306 Jacket
The biggest difference between the LJ-8306 and the 8304 is pretty much the design. It doesn’t have the magnesium shoulder armour, but it does feature all the same CE approved armour as well as all the little features like airflow fabrics and removable inner linings. If you can stretch to the LJ-8304 then it’s worth it for the extra protection and as the price difference is rather small it makes sense if you’re impartial to each design.

Arlen Ness LJ-8364 Jacket
Finally we have the budget jacket in the Arlen Ness leathers range, the LJ-8364. It comes in at a price considerably less than the others and as such just has the core protection features built into its design. Among other small features, this jacket is made up of simply 1.2mm-1.4mm cowhide and comes with CE approved armour in the shoulders and elbows. For those that don’t need or want the fancy stretchy breathable fabrics and are after a more basic design, the LJ-8364 jacket is an excellent choice out of the Arlen Ness leathers range.
